On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I have a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada and eleven years of professional experience. Currently I am a senior engineer for a Danish company that makes wind turbine blades. I am part of the Composite Mechanics group that is responsible for determining and documenting the mechanical properties of the materials and substructures that are used in the blades. I am also currently attending a masters level fracture mechanics course at DTU (Danish Technical University) in order to become more specialized within my field. Previously I have worked in Vancouver, Canada with hydrogen fuels and their cooling and exhaust gas dilution systems and in Melbourne, Australia as an engineer designing industrial wheels and castors.
From my understanding of solid mechanics, I don't see how a steel constructed skyscraper can collapse under it's own weight at near free fall speed within it's own footprint. Steel is a ductile material and a space frame construction that is overloaded in compression will bend, buckle and twist, but will remain essentially as one structure. In my opinion, the failure mode observed for the twin towers can only be explained by a series of controlled explosions.

There is a staggering amount of irrefutable factual information, that has been derived and collected by professional scientists and engineers, to establish that the collapse of these buildings was premeditated controlled demolition. It would be impossible to accomplish that degree of destruction, and the sequence of events, by the relatively mere impact of jet airplanes and the resulting fires fueled only by jet fuel, which could never soften or melt steel support structures. There is also an unprecedented array of events that indicate a carefully premeditated and executed sequence of events that belie the official conclusions of the original 9/11 commission. Why was there such a rush to remove and destroy physical evidence from the scene, to prevent a proper forensic investigation of such an unprecedented disaster?

The failure of those who support the government view of 9/11 to confront the evidence presented suggests that they cannot refute it. Son of a accredited engineer. Have been interested in and studied physics for some time, and am very familiar with Newtonian physics. Have also worked with, around, and for, various types of engineer, and engineering company. The circumstances of 911 are not at all compliant with my understanding of Newtonian Physics. I do not believe that there was enough chemical energy contained in the planes in order to produce fires of the intensity reported. Nor do I believe the office environment would have been flammable enough to contribute, health and safety dictates that office environments are as fire retardant as possible. The collapse of the buildings is also suspect as a structural weakness brought about by fire in one side of the building would not bring about a perfect collapse downward in my opinion, let alone twice in the space of one day. Also buildings are over engineered specifically to take many times normal stress factors and temperature changes, it is normal practice and I doubt buildings of this prestige would be any different. If a building collapsed after a normal accidental fire there would be a thorough independent investigation free from bias, I do not think this has been the case for 911, there are many questions, and not a lot of answers that make sense scientifically.

It is not too late ! for example, NYC-TV Channel 2 WCBS and 7 WABC broadcast from WTC 1. chief station engineers will have data about AC input power cuts, and exact time and nature of RF output failures. Also, Building 3,4,5 and 6 have fire alarm data reel to reel tapes to look at. as far as I know, none of this has ever been done.

High point of my career: Following the Challenger accident in January 1987 I developed, on behalf of my client and former employer, a stochastic simulation for assessing the reliability of APU turbine wheels used in the Space Shuttle.
It is physically impossible for the towers to have collapsed at near free fall speed under the pancake arguments put forth. Each layer, while the force of gravity, is attached to a structure with large friction. [This is the fasteners that hold the layer to the vertical structure. The friction involves severing the fasteners.] This friction would need to be overcome by the impulse of the layers falling above it. This would retard the falling rate slowing it down from free fall. Also, each layer would contribute additional mass that is at zero velocity while the layer(s) hitting it have already been accelerated (by gravity) to some positive velocity. This would also retard the fall rate by inertial considerations. Perhaps, if we observed the so-called pancake effect at the last few layers both the friction and the additional mass would not be that significant. However, the pancake effect does not apply to the vertical structure to which the layers are fastened. When a magician pulls the table cloth from under the dishes on the table, the dishes remain - although we always see them move slightly as a result of static friction. The pancake theory, along with the irrefutable fact that the collapse was near free fall, would have us to believe that the friction holding each layer in place was negligible. In that case, how is it that the structures stood as long as they did? As for WTC 7, it's a classic demolition. (Didn't Dan Rather say so himself?)

From the video of collapse it is obvious the NIST report is wrong. Thank you for pointing out so clearly and un-sensationally the case for controlled demolition of the three WTC buildings. I remember seeing the WTC 7 collapse replayed in the news on the evening of 9/11. It's straight down collapse seemed surreal to me, but the whole day was so surreal. Then, for over 6 years I didn't think at all about the nature of the building failures--until I found your site a couple weeks ago.

There are many inconsistencies between the official report and the collapse of the 3 WTC towers, however I would like to talk about just one, the gas laws state that the volume of a gas is proportional to its temperature, where did the energy come from to heat up the gas carrying the dust particles? Why was the temperature rise so sudden? If it had happened when the tower hit the ground you would expect dust clouds but the clouds started as the towers started to collapse, If an aeroplane crashes every last piece of evidence is reassembled to find out the cause of what happened in order to make sure it doesn't happen again. Why in the case of 3 skyscrapers was this not done, in order to learn what happened and prevent an ordinary hydrocarbon fire from demolishing other skyscrapers. In fact the opposite is true almost all the evidence was shipped off to China to be recycled, imagine an airline doing that after a plane crash, would not that be very suspicious. To date I have not heard any plausible official account of what happened. I believe there should be a new official independent investigation to explain the visual and scientific evidence.

When I witnessed the first WTC tower implode in on itself -- and I witnessed it in real time -- my first impression was, Oh my! Why are they bringing the building down!? It was so obvious that the structure was imploded under controlled demolition that there was no doubt about it. In fact, if we were to show 20 demolitions side by side with one of them being the WTC building 7 I believe 90% of viewers would not be able to identify WTC 7. Why? They all look like controlled demolitions. Therefore, to assume that WTC 7 came down symmetrically at free fall speed neatly in its own footprint purely by chance would be an unscientific hypothesis. Let's assume it was a controlled demolition and then start looking for forensic evidence to support that. Note: the 9/11 Commission did not even bother to investigate WTC 7. I wonder why? To not answer this question represents an escape from Reason that defies mental health.

Researched fire-retardant rigid foams of the phenolic and polyurethane types at Armstrong World Industries, Inc. 1979-1980. Research included the attempts to synthesize a tri-isocyanate monomer to be reacted with reactive difunctional monomers to produce non burning and non smoking rigid polymeric polyurethane systems with applications for pipe and wall insulation and other applications. ASTM fire testing was a part of the testing procedures for the phenolic and polyurethane foams. I spent 25 year teaching Physics, Chemistry, and Physical Science in Missouri, Pennsylvania, and Florida.

As a citizen and as rational human being, I have an obligation to seek the truth to the best of my ability, regardless of the consequences or where it may lead. Science can provide a path for finding the truth. The official hypothesis of the collapse of the World Trade Center towers contradicts the observational and physical evidence in too many ways to offer a coherent explanation. Alternatively, the controlled demolition hypothesis seems to agree with the data to such a high degree that the events of Sept. 11, 2001 must be officially investigated in an open and scientific manner.

I am a recent B.S. Physics graduate from the University of South Florida. Having done research in the realm of theoretical models using Newtonian Physics/ Non-Newtonian Physics/ Chemistry for my undergraduate research, I am well-aware of the potential of using this to demonstrate that the probability of all 3 buildings falling in the exact-same fashion to be unlikely, especially since the known facts/ figures in public documents surrounding the incident suggest something to the contrary should have occurred.

I attended Choate Rosemary Hall high school, and am now a physics major at Southern Connecticut State University. My main areas of interest are physics, philosophy, and government. I have been deeply interested in propaganda and other methods that governments employ to control populations for years.
The core columns in the top 3rd of each towers were smaller and lighter than the core columns in the bottom 2/3 of the towers. It is impossible that smaller, lighter, weaker structure fell through a much heavier, stationary, stronger structure at nearly free-fall speed without the help of explosives. Every floor below the impact point was more than strong enough to support the weight of every floor above it. The fact that the towers collapsed at near free fall speed meant that the this larger, heavier, stronger structure gave almost no resistance to a smaller, lighter portion of the structure falling into it. Therefore, the structure under the point of collapse must have been hindered in some way, possibly explosives. Also, the fact that WTC7 was left out of the 9/11 reports, and not even publicly acknowledged is reason enough alone for a new independent investigation.
