PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

In the case of Building 7 I'm very confident that there was a true and very well studied implosion, demolishing the building so that it collapses straight down into its own footprint (the total area at the base of the building). This feat requires such skill that only few and very experienced demolition experts in the world will attempt it. Among other evidences, the way and time of the building collapse indicates a previous study of the building structure. The motion during the fall was almost vertical and therefore cannot be by hazard, or even caused by a fire, because all supports must be cutted at the same time, or in a specific way that the columns at the center of the building are cutted before the other columns so that the building's sides fall inward.

My original gas volume analysis of twin tower collapse: If the towers collapsed due to structural weakness, the volume of air expelled from them would equal the gross volume of the building minus the volume of solid objects within it. Yet, it is evident from all videos that the volume of gas expelled was instantly many times the volume of the original building. Explosives within the building are the only credible source of this excess gas volume. Also, the speed at which the gas and debris was expelled horizontally from the building was approximately the same for all floors. This is exactly what would be expected if a similar set of explosive charges were detonated on each floor of the building. If the matter was expelled only due to the weight of above floors crushing the lower floors, the gas and dust would have been expelled a short distance at the beginning of the event when the speed of collapse was slow, and a much further distance on the lower floors when the speed of collapse was faster. That was not the case.

I am/was a project engineer with 15 + years in the energy industry and exposure to gas engines and fuel combustion. I have experience in ASME/AWS code material (steel) selection and material strength calculation and loading analysis, plus pressure / temperature calculations.
The nearly uninhibited free-fall of all 3 buildings is contrary to laws of physics (Newton's laws of motion and the conservation of energy / first law of thermodynamics). The collisions during the building collapse (i.e., upper floors dropping into lower floors) would demand that the falling body (upper floors) should slow down far below natural gravitational acceleration value (32.174 fl/s^2 or 9.81 m/s^2) due to momentum and collision losses. The momentum / mass of the lower stationary floors (f=m*a and m1v1 & m2v2 products) would reduce the average speed and acceleration rate of the falling mass, and 2) the energy absorbed (force * distance) via the collision and material distortion (i.e., steel bending), or material disintegration (i.e., concrete crumbling) as the falling upper floors collided with the floors beneath must also reduce the acceleration rate. Also, the jet fuel and office fire burned BLACK (indicating an oxygen lean/fuel rich fire), which would not produce a temperature hot enough to melt such a massive steel structure, much less weaken the structure to the point of collapse, especially as the collapses do not occur with any sort of directional bias (falling toward the failure or weak point).

On-site reports of hearing explosions in the towers from news-persons, police, firefighters, and ordinary citizens corroborate the presence of explosive material in the buildings before the planes hit. The towers were closed for inspection at times prior to 9.11.01. The man-in-charge of the building security is suspicious for reasons of nepotism.

My expertise is in history of religions and classical studies (Northwestern University PhD), not architecture or engineering. However, my study of history in general, and of 9/11 events in particular, leads me to great suspicion about the official explanations of 9/11.
I am persuaded by evidence of controlled demolition of the three WTC buildings, despite the difficulties of all the logistical and political assumptions that must be made if this scenario is true. After deselection from the college teaching profession, I have sold drill bushings, managed an apartment complex, and currently work as an administrative secretary at Cornell University. Although my degree work is in language and literature, I am not scientifically illiterate.
There was just far too much energy expended in the destruction of the twin towers to be adequately explained by the official theory, insofar as that can be pinned down on any given day. The particle size of the remains of the towers was way too small, the pile of debris way too short, the speed of fall way too fast. The anomalies that remain to be explained are many, and the official theory does not begin to address them adequately, or indeed, at all, in the case of Bldg. 7. I want to know about the toasted cars, the hole in Bldg. 4, the survival of the PATH trains, and a lot more.

My analysis of the the 9/11 Commission report concludes that it is a whitewash. It is remarkable for its omissions, which have been detailed by others The political bias of its operations director is highly suspect. All the buildings clearly show the mark of controlled demolition. Enough evidence suggests it was allowed to happen to justify a new, independent and impartial investigation with all results made public and all testimony made under oath. I have read most of the critical published books and reports.

I am the author of the article, 118 Witnesses, which details the numerous FDNY witnesses to explosions in the Twin Towers. It is clear there were strategic explosions in these buildings and that they did not collapse for the reasons given by NIST and the 9/11 Commission.

As a musicologist and organology enthusiast, I have always dabbled in acoustical physics as part of my field and spent time with music-loving physics professors and engineers. I am not an architect or engineer. But I am not a fool, nor am I entirely unacquainted with the laws of physics. I received an A.B. degree from St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia PA in 1962, a M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology in 1965 and 1967 respectively from the University of Wisconsin. I was an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Pomona College from 1967 until 1970. I was awarded an NIMH Senior Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Psychobiology, University of California at Irvine from 1970-1973. I then served as an assistant and associate professor with tenure in Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, and as a full professor in Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign from 1982 until 1988. I moved my office and laboratory to the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology (on the Urbana campus) in 1988. I retired in 2003. My research concerned analyses of the neurophysiological substrates of conditioning, learning and memory. I have published many articles and chapters and have been a co-editor of two books on these topics.
I am convinced that the twin towers and WTC building 7 collapsed as a result of controlled demolition. This conviction is owed largely to the evidence marshaled by David A Griffin, Richard Gage and many additional scientists and architects who have carried out scientific research on these most important events. It is essential that citizens of the U.S. and the world be informed of these scientific findings and conclusions in the interest of arriving at a just resolution of the crimes committed on 9/11 2001.

If the government cannot give definitive proof about the cause of WTC 7's collapse, then their claims about WTC 1 and 2 are highly doubtful.

I did my undergrad in math and engineering, mostly theoretical mechanics. But then I switched to philosophy of physics and logic for my M.A. and Ph.D. I'm currently teaching in the Philosophy department at the University of British Columbia. My main publication is a technical monograph about physical probability, published by the University of Toronto Press.
As I teach courses on scientific reasoning, I'm always on the lookout for good examples of bad science, and I thought the 9/11 conspiracy theories would provide some material. I was shocked to find many good arguments among the bad ones. In particular, arguments that the global collapse was not powered by gravity alone seem virtually conclusive. The way NIST has ignored this issue (or said silly things about it) helps to support the conclusion.

There are so many bizarre phenomena associated with the collapse of the towers, and the inexplicable melting of over 1000 vehicles, many on the opposite side of the island along FDR Drive. The sum of these phenomena reeks of the deepest evil.

I have been a college professor and active scientist for nearly 45 years.
From the day I watched the TV news coverage of the Twin Towers free-fall to the ground and then awhile later heard that Building 7, though not hit by a plane, also free-fell to the ground, I thought, along with some of the early news commentators, that the collapses looked like controlled demolitions. Then there was the clear reticence on the part of the Bush Administration to open an investigation. Finally and begrudgingly the 9/11 Commission was named and produced what turned out to be a woefully incomplete and inadequate assessment. In the face of the magnitude and gravity of 9/11, the cost in dollars and, most importantly, the horrendous loss of human lives, such an inadequate treatment is not acceptable under any standards. Not long after 9/11, websites began to appear which posed fair and reasonable questions challenging the 'official' version of how the buildings fell, and related issues. The writings of prominent scholars, such as David Ray Griffin and others, considered the diverse and mounting pieces of evidence in systematic and thoughtful ways. While one may disagree with the interpretation of this or that piece of evidence, the emerging mosaic of physical, economic, political and social evidence is compelling and demands a reinvestigation. Frankly, at this point I don't see how our country can go forward as a democracy until this matter is fully and completely settled by an independent, comprehensive, competent investigation by a body with full subpoena power.

There are serious and legitimate questions about the collapses of the towers and building seven, as well as many other aspects of the events of 9/11. Thus far, official answers have been unconvincing. The official 9/11 Commission Report, in particular, has been shown to be seriously flawed and misleading (Griffin, 2004). And NIST consistently avoids the critical questions. Our security requires an accurate accounting of what really happened. Thus, we need, for the first time, a real, probing investigation by competent professionals without significant ties to the administration. Is that so unreasonable? If the government is unwilling to support a new investigation, they should at least be willing to publicly defend the official account against legitimate challenges by competent authorities in the various relevant fields. So far they have been unwilling--or unable.
