On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

A formal investigation should be conducted to address what appears to be NIST report that is flawed and we need to know the truth. The collapse does not make sense even with the extent of jet fuel brought into the structure by the jet aircraft and the findings of thermite are suspect. I would have re-built all the buildings just as they were before 9/11.

I believe that the www.ae911truth.org website presents compelling evidence that the collapses of the WTC towers on 9/11 was very likely a result of controlled demolitions, and that previous investigations, including those by FEMA, NIST, and the 9/11 Commission were not sufficiently independent of conflicts of interest and political influence, and that a new investigation of the evidence by a truly independent body of scientists, engineers, and architects is a moral imperative, for revealing to everyone the truth about what happened, and laying the groundwork for true justice and reconciliation.

A couple of weeks before 9/11 I watched a documentary about the development of techniques that enabled the demolition of a building without destroying others nearby - when I watched the 9/11 news footage, the buildings appeared to fall as if by planned demolition, which I found very strange. When the Bush administration did not call for an investigation, then resisted calls for an investigation, my doubts about their explanation increased. Thanks to Richard Gage and others there are solid reasons to demand an independent investigation into this event.

The way the buildings fell appeared very controlled and do not seem characteristic of a structural failure from fire. I have always been extremely concerned about WTC7 collapsing, ESPECIALLY IN SUCH A CONTROLLED FASHION, when the only damage was minor fires and some structural damage from falling debris.

Even after all of these years, the absence of common sense understandings about the 9/11 event by the public is very frustrating. While I am not an architect, I have observed the collapse of the three buildings into their footsteps at nearly the speed of gravity. I have looked at the Sisson and al. papers issued in the JOM and in the Journal of failure analysis and prevention -October 2006 on the metal removal by slag attack of the WTC 7 and the findings are troubling and push to ask questions about the official theory. The latest findings of Harrit and al. (the open chemical physics journal- April 2009) on the thermitic material are even more troubling and need answers.

While it is clear that that the World Trade Center towers were attacked by two planes, I do not believe that the damage caused by these planes would have been sufficient to destroy the towers. What I find particularly odd is that both towers collapsed in almost exactly the same way--despite the fact that planes hit buildings at different altitudes and at sharply different angles. I also find completely inexplicable the fact that Building No. 7 collapsed suddenly and unexpectedly later in the day, despite the fact that it was not directly attacked. There are many questions which have been raised by experts with considerable expertise in the areas of physics, mettalurgy, architecture, engineering. These people should be allowed to present their evidence before an impartial investigating committee. We know that in the past, political groups have staged events--attacks on public buildings, massacres (notably the Reichstags Fire)--and then placed the blame on other groups in order to stir up public sentiment in support of particular parties or measures. I believe Americans can, if the facts warrant, face up to the truth. It is time for a comprehensive, impartial investigation in which all those with expertise on the structural characteristics of the buildings should be free to speak openly.

I have amounted the denial of the true reasons for the WTC buildings' collapse in the architecture and engineering field to a simple emotional unwillingness to examine the facts.If you know the collapse times, if you know what fireproofing is, if you know how little fireproofing would be knocked off by the plane crashes (comparatively in terms of the whole building size), if you have a comprehension of steel and concrete strength and what would happen in a true failure, if you know EXACTLY how these towers were built--you would know that is absolutely impossible that the WTC buildings collapsed due to fire caused by airline crashes.Again, the denial of the true reasons for the WTC buildings' collapse in the architecture and engineering field must be amounted to a simple emotional unwillingness to examine the facts--and I have met many deniers.

It was apparent to me even on Sept. 11, 2001, listening to Dubya's initial public statement (wherein he immediately referred to the planes hitting the Towers as an act of war) that it was part of a bigger plan. It is still impossible for me to understand how anyone can watch the footage of the towers' free-fall-no-resistance collapses and believe they resulted from impact & fire. The currently available evidence is overwhelmingly convincing that it is physically impossible for buildings to turn to dust at that speed if there are no explosives involved. The finally NIST report is paltry, at best.
