PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I am not a structural engineer by training or practice, nor does my practice concern the design of structural steel buildings. Nevertheless, having basic civil engineering coursework experience (steel and r/c design, etc..) and some structural framing design experience I have harbored deep doubts about the government's explanation for these collapses since the morning of 9/11. I recall expressing then how the buildings would remain intact, even given the severe damage they had experienced, never considering that the damage inflicted could cause collapse. There is power in numbers and there is further power in the prestige and integrity of the numerous engineers, architects, and scientists who have come forward and who may yet come forward to challenge the government's explanations or lack thereof. I suggest that there are powerful computer modeling and physical testing tools that are likely being employed and may yet be employed in concert with the photographic, video, and forensic evidence to investigate how these towers collapsed, political motivations aside. I believe it is very important that these questions be addressed and support efforts to do so and thank all those who have come forward and put much time and energy into the numerous and vigorous research efforts that have already been conducted.

In my view, the vertical collapse of the Twin Towers core structures could only take place because the structures' pillars and the corner pillars in one or more of the lower floors all at once were cut by explosive charges, thereby entering the entire structures above into a free fall, gaining sufficient downward momentum to make the structures below crumble. However, I do find it hard to explain how the core steel-frame structures could disintegrate and why the disintegration happened in the same way in the two towers. To me it seems likely that in an uncontrolled collapse one or both towers would have capsized with even more catastrophic consequences. As regards WTC7, it seems obvious to me that the sudden collapse was controlled, although the videos that I've seen do not show explosions in the lower part of the building. I have not read the official reports explaining the vertical collapse of the three buildings. However, if the civil engineering community cannot deliver a proper peer-reviewed explanation of these collapses, it has a serious professional problem. Explanations of major structural failures has always been essential for progress in the design of safe structures and in the education of civil engineers. Future textbooks on the structural design of steel-frame high-rises must contain factually consistent explanations of the collaps of WTC towers - otherwise we must admit that we do not know the essential properties of such constructions when exposed to impacts and fire. Which is clearly unacceptabel for the professional community.

For two buildings to collapse upon their own footprint in exactly the same way defies probability. Building 7 of the World Trade Center, a steel reinforced building that only had a few office fires, just confirms that this was an inside job.

Well lets see I dropped out of college my freshman year because I had a problem with authority figures, mainly teachers.
You have probably already seen this but in case you have not, Please review the photos and or video footage found on the internet of the debris and rubble at ground zero right after the collapse of the towers. You will see sections of core columns with ends that are cut evenly at a 45 degree angles indicating the proper placement of thermite or thermate cutter charges, not just one but several. It was probably the most compelling evidence for me. Not even a cutting torch could cut those beams that pointed at the end.

As a counselor, I am always skeptical of what I hear. And I have researched the 9/11 tragedy for hundreds of hours. I lived in NYC the summer of 01' and escaped 3 weeks before the event. On Aug, 15, I looked up at wtc1 at the corner, and was in utter awe. I study intensely subjects which intrigue me, and having to counsel people after this tragedy has caused me to question, why?
WTC 7 takes the cake. A 6 second collapse on its own footprint 8 hrs after the planes hit, makes no sense. The pictures have obvious visible detonation blasts, which infers there were internal explosives that must have been preplaced, so why? Collateral damage seems to be the least likely cause of this classic controlled demolition.

Improbable for the twin towers to fall - much less in that manner and we sure didn't have any pancakes in the end. Tower 7 is totally impossible and shocking that the majority of people (including judges) say tower what. The pentagon shows no sign of the plane...impossible. Titanium doesn't just vaporize. We find black boxes on the bottom of the ocean with ease. There has never not been the remains found on land, that day they went 0-8. Impossible - again another contradiction with the media and FBI et al. The popular mechanics de-bunking doesn't address the questions put forth. The 9/11 commission is full of holes and was deemed internally as stone walled on all accounts. What else can I say, just few questions hanging out there?

Traces of supernano thermite were found in the twin towers before wtc 7 collapsed, there is proof of this, which I have , in a published scientific review of samples of dust analyzed from the world trade center. The fact that the wtc were the longest burning fires in history, with the core being at least 1500 degrees up 2 2002 suggest this was not jet fuel, I have suspected foul play from day 1, before I looked at any evidence. Also its very convenient illegal stock bets were placed, and the sec did a probe.

Some experience of fundamental engineering from built environment background, general understanding of structural engineering. My Father was a military Firefighter and I have had the benefit of his understanding on plane crash incidents and the nature of aviation fuel in a crash situation.
I stared in disbelief. Elementary physics would suggest that as the towers fell at free fall speed they could not have had resistance from structural material beneath them, which would have happened if the fires on the floor above caused the collapse. The floors beneath, on the vast structure, should have stayed intact. Jet fuel is highly volatile and would have burnt nearly instantly. How could this 'quick burn' have melted such a vast quantity of asbestos covered steel? The fact that the 'evidence' was cleared and dumped within days after the most significant attack on US soil caused me to wonder about weather it was a crime scene or a cover up. History will judge. But we owe the dead one thing at least, the truth.

College education 3 years of Pharmacy and chemistry, two years working in a army ammunition factory (making steel 105 mm shell casings) where I learned the plasticity of steel and its melting points. I have been involved in the cold forming of steel chemical conversion coating industry and understand to some degree the properties of steel and its plasticity/ductility. It never rang true that Jet A fuel could weaken a structure to the point of collapse.
I have doubted the Main Stream Media repeaters (reporters) versions of the incidents that happened on 9/11 since that morning. It was obvious at that time the these buildings came down: 1. in their own foot print 2. at a rate that was just like a controlled demolition (as observed by news commentators at the time) 3. And if you watch the antenna tower in the center of one of the towers it falls first indicating that the ground floor explosions were demolishing the central steel and cement core so the building would collapse in on itself. 4. Building 7 was pulled according to Mr Larry Silverstein (owner) Come on lets get the truth out.

I have been seeking the truth to the events of 9-11 since 9-12-01. Before the so called attacks, I have been researching Bin Laden and the history of the C.I.A. But the comments were the same as what I was thinking: a time controlled demolition. Then later that day, I heard that building 7 had collapsed; then, before my eyes, I saw it come down in the background. From that moment I started to wonder about the events of that day. How could the news report something that hadnt happened yet????

I have believed since 2 hours after 9/11 occurred that this was not the work of a terrorist organization, but a power hungry political machine hell bent on establishing their will on the people by manipulation of facts and propaganda. They did a good job apparently. The evidence was swept off before we could blink. I have seen a controlled demolition using explosives on the campus of the University of Louisiana when McCullough Hall was imploded. The explosions that were reported from eyewitnesses, mind you the media made sure to side step that in the days after 9/11. Controlled Demolitions are unique as they are CONTROLLED!!! If the buildings, meaning towers one and two, had cracked up, falling off to the side with big hunks of concrete flying through the air, or big sections of the building pitching to either side and falling off, then I would believe that this was not a controlled demolition. But, with the precision these buildings came down, there is no question. The NIST's report on the buildings collapse, is inherently flawed due to their lack of actual testing. The core steel buckled, OK, show me pictures of a core column that has buckled. You can't? Why not? Because they weren't their to get pictures of. The evidence was gone before anyone could actually see it. The NIST had to know, they were ringers brought in to open their mouths and give credence to the theory that the towers fell on their own. It says a lot when degreed and licensed Architects and Engineers from around the country are calling for a new investigation. Even military personnel are joining the fight. In America we are allowed to seek the truth. And were going to get it, come hell or high water. Fight the powers that be.

I was an NPR Liberal until I heard Stephen Kinzer on Fresh Air in July of 2003 detail the subversion of the government of Iran by the CIA, which was in 1953. My complacency never recovered from learning that subversion is the name of the game in the Capital of the World. In September of that year I read MP Michael Meacher's article in the Guardian, This war on terrorism is bogus and learned about PNAC and the New Pearl Harbor. Since that day, my life has been a quest for the REAL history of the United States and the elites who use her as a cat's paw to rake in vast riches at the expense of the poorest people in the world. My quest is amply rewarded, because, as a Quality Control supervisor of mine once said, The closer we look, the more we're gonna find.
The magic bullet that made seven wounds in two men and wound up unmarked on the gurney seems to have played the neutrino, losing no momentum as it broke numerous bones. Likewise, the upper sections of the WTC towers apparently pounded their way through a thousand feet of concrete and steel, yet encountered no diminution of speed or kinetic energy. Even Star Trek couldn't justify such a fantasy. Next we will hear that Dark Energy made up the difference. Perhaps on a cosmic scale this is realistic. Not in the classical scale. NIST: F. They will have to take 11th grade physics again next year, and the next and the next, until they learn this.

I believe, after reading volumes of material, that the buildings were brought down by explosives. You cannot deny Bldg #7.

I was in the 8th grade when this all happened and I couldn't understand why some of my teachers were crying. I never heard of the WTC towers before this event.
I was in the 8th Grade when the towers were 'attacked'. I didn't understand the magnitude of what was really going on at the time. I do feel like it was an inside job considering the gold missing from the towers and the documents that the #7 building held. I hope they do an independent study of the collapse. It should be under the freedom of information act. We have the right to know how and why so many lives were lost that day. My daughter is 3 years old right now. When she goes to school they are going to teach her about this event in Social Studies. I want her to know the truth about what really went down that day. She doesn't need to be taught to hate Muslims because of the stigma they have received. She needs to learn that the government isn't all its cracked up to be, 'For The People' no, they are for themselves. I hope that the truth comes out and the public has knowledge of the true events of that fateful day. I think the government owes it to the people who lost loved ones that day. I know if I lost someone that day I would want the truth and nothing but the truth. Thank You.

In my personal opinion, the official record of the events surrounding 9/11 do not account for many unanswered questions that remain. The most significant question mark remaining for me is the collapse of WTC 7 - which was separated from WTC 1 & 2 by another building and reportedly only sustained damage from fire. The collapse of a large concrete structure such as this building from fire alone is highly unlikely, especially one that appears from the video footage to be such a controlled vertical collapse. This fact alone should be sufficient reason for an investigation, however MANY other questions remain which also warrant more detailed answers. The American people - and especially the families of the victims of 9/11 - deserve and demand the truth.
