On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

There are too many unanswered questions about the physics related to how only the impacts of large airplanes caused WTC Buildings 1 and 2 to collapse (explode and melt). For example the melted steel beams would indicate use of thermite; and the many months of steel remaining molten in the ruins would indicate possible use of small (low radiation) nuclear weapons. How could only the jet fuel and kinetic energy of the collapse cause such intense heat (for months)? How could they cause the buildings to explode so far upward and outward? How could they cause so much of the buildings' concrete and steel to be pulverized (almost vaporized) into fine dust (2.5 microns)? Was the energy required to do all of this much more than that from the jet fuel and the kinetic energy from structural collapse? Basic physics principles (conservation of energy) do not appear to support the official story. What other sources of energy were involved? Also, there are many unanswered questions about how WTC Building 7 was destroyed; the official story was that small fires caused an internal column to buckle. However, all videos show it was an (obvious) implosion that was very level (i.e., level pancaking typical of engineered demolitions). So, did a demolitions team engineer and place the many explosives needed to cause its orderly implosion? If so, how did the team find the time and resources to do all of their work during the chaos on September 11? Or, was their work done before September 11, as a precautionary measure (for safe, controlled demolition) in case of attack? Hopefully a few brave, patriotic people will eventually address the many unanswered questions. If not, life will still go on, and the many good people of America will continue to improve our beloved nation.You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.

I have been engaged in the design and project management of public buildings in diverse environments for most of my 35 year career. Half of that time was as principle architect in my own 15 person firm, and half as senior project manager in several larger E/A firms.

I have no doubt that controlled demolition played an essential role in the collapse of all three buildings. But I can imagine scenarios in which the explosives were placed (for stupid reasons) without expecting the attack by airplanes and then were implemented in response to that attack (again for stupid reasons). Conspiracy requires a level of intelligence not in evidence. Cover up is the primal response to stupidity.

I have two undergraduate degrees: biomedical engineering, and applied mathematics. I am well versed in physics, and I almost completed my masters in Engineering Management. I work in the R&D department of an animal research equipment manufacturer. I had previously interned at the Penn State Electro-Optics Center working with Ultra-fast laser research.
Looking at the evidence objectively, I can only conclude that the plane crashes and resulting fires were not the sole cause of the collapse of the Twin Towers. The way the buildings collapsed indicated that there was some pre-meditation allowing for the near perfect collapse of the towers with no real damage to the rest of New York City. Furthermore, what most people forget, is that a third tower fell that day, WTC 7. I have yet to find a satisfactory answer as to why a few office fires and some falling debris could bring down the entire WTC 7 building in a manner identical to the other towers. The physics of it all make no sense based on the 'approved story', and I believe we deserve the truth.

It became increasingly apparent that jets and fires were not what brought the three buildings down -- these were classic cases of controlled demolition. The American people need first to learn the truth about how those buildings really came down and then uncover who all were responsible, but I fear our main obstacle is that the foxes are guarding the hen houses.

I am the grassroots, the bottom up. I am curiosity and learning. I am open eyes and with them, I can see 9/11 was an inside job.
It's provable that all three towers fell at near-freefall speed. This in itself proves the official lie is a lie. NIST NCSTAR 1-5A lists 9 seconds for a 415m fall. Freefall time for that height is 9.1 seconds. Even to justify a 15-second collapse estimate would require enough jet fuel to fill 903 (for each tower) Boeing 757s, and way more oxygen than was present. 903 Boeing's worth of fuel and an enormous supply of oxygen could theoretically heat the building to 1500F, maybe reducing the strength to as low as 30% of normal temperature. This is presuming that the airplane destroyed 95% of the building's structure all the way down the core to the basement. I think if this is what would have happened, we would have seen the building exterior including glass glowing red or brighter. So, the official story, even assuming absurdly high numbers just doesn't work. Any genuine expert purporting the Official Lie deserves to be imprisoned or executed for treason, they know better.

I've seen the films, I side with the engineers. On October 11th 2001 I flew the LAX red-eye into EWR. It was the last time I saw the World Trade Center. One thing that puzzles me is that if the buildings did collapse, the remaining steel beams would be bent, but 99% of what one sees in photos they are all straight and clean cut. To the best of my knowledge no process other than any form of actually cutting them would get that end result. I would like to see simulations on how much damage the potential energy stored in the buildings could do. there simply was not enough energy to result in the pulverization of the concrete and the pyroclastic flow according to my gut feeling but I have seen no calculations or simulations about this.

I have been a pilot for 36 years. For the last 18 years I have been an airline pilot and most recently the pilot of an Airbus A300 flying in and out of JFK. I have also been involved in relief and development in the 3rd world which has given me experience with collapsed building due to earthquakes. So I never believed the collapse theory for the twin towers because there should have been a pile of 110 stories at the base of the building instead of it all going up in dust and smoke.
Basic high school physics makes it clear that the buildings could not have come down at free fall speed and grind all of that concrete to powder if the only force input into the equation was the force of gravity. Secondly, the top of the one tower tips 20 or more degrees. if the only force in play is gravity, there is no way it can right itself and fall into the center of the building. Of course, that is not what happens. Instead, it dissolves in smoke and dust. Why? If there was no other force than gravity acting on it? Yes we need a real investigation.

When I heard Dan Rather say on CBS news that ....this looks like a controlled demolition, I immediately researched controlled demolition sites on the Internet. It's obvious to me that these building were demolished by explosives and thermate. I have a photo that I carry on my iPhone of a firefighter standing in the rubble pile very soon after the event, and right behind him is one of the columns with a diagonal cut like it's been cut with a torch. But this was way too soon for that, it was cut with a thermate charge.

I have 20 years experience with space related ordnance. I have worked with HNS II and PETN explosives and am very familiar with the resulting cutting pattern of an explosively cut metal beam. The support beams of the WTC were explosively severed near the basement level.
The WTC collapse was a controlled explosion. The Thermite evidence is the most compelling - it cannot be created miraculously from an explosion. The second most compelling piece of evidence is the perfect 45 degree cut in the support beams that show no signs of beam yield that would occur in a buckling failure.

I am very disheartened to find that explosive residue has been found on molten beams and has also shown up in dust collected from the collapse. It is imperative that the security teams associated with the towers and specifically building 7, which was never struck by a plane, be thoroughly investigated. Viewed both collapses of the twin towers from a high rise at Newark airport. Comments, at the time, from several individuals were that this appeared like a controlled demolition. Also worked a flight that morning that departed Boston airport for Newark at 0750am taking off 3 minutes in front of United and American flights.

The evidence of unexploded and partially reacted nano-thermite and its by-products in the iron microspheres found in WTC dust samples appear to offer an explanation for the physically impossible freefall collapse of the three WTC buildings. A thorough investigation of how the explosives got there is urgently required.

As an athletic trainer who graduated the May after 9/11/01 I have also had skepticism about what truly happened that day.
I am concerned that this event was not solely the responsibility of a few crazy people, but a well developed plan that possibly included our government. I have concerns about the controlled demolition and the facts of the events. I am also concerned that the government has not taken a full look into the events.

Just a concerned citizen. I was employed as a freightliner pilot for a small air cargo company after a few years working as a flight instructor. I always thought that the damage to the pentagon by the terrorist attack was somehow an orchestrated self inflicted shot in the foot by Cheney and other military brass to help the attack fiasco along until I realized that the steel structures of the twin towers could not collapse from standard fires. I am actually ashamed to say that I always knew that the buildings were designed to withstand a blow from a 707, but was still partially under the spell just the same. Keep up the great work. P.s. I have an associates of applied science and am just completing my b.a. In forensic psychology so its not worth mentioning in the slots.
I believe in a lot of things that I have experienced for myself and with others and I do believe I have an open mind. I do not believe any information that is not supported by evidence, proof or based on word of mouth (such as the moon landings). Until recently, the week of August 15th 2009, I really did believe that aircraft struck a building that was designed to withstand such strikes and collapsed from those events. I always thought I was intelligent and skeptical enough, through my superior intellect (lol), to know that 9/11 was an inside job, that no aircraft struck the pentagon (no matter how many cartoons national geographic produces) and not to get carried away with all of the outlandish stories circulating throughout the internet and the media. To my surprise, however, I now understand that all of those young whipersnapper crazed anarchist conspiracy theorists were actually concerned, highly intelligent and well informed American citizens who were more on the ball than I was. Nothing will ever convince me that man has left the earth and traveled to the moon and back (besides the non-existent hard evidence) and nothing will convince me that we are not actually under attack by the NeoCons who are controlling what Ike Eisenhower described as the military industrial complex for the purpose of feeding the beast of private ownership of earth resources and wealth by a select few.

I didn't know anything about the designs of the towers before 9/11, so when they fell I didn't think much about whether it was possible or not. Obviously it was possible because it happened in front of my eyes. And of course, I wasn't even entertaining the notion that anything other than the plane crashes and fires were the culprit. I bought a couple 9/11 picture books because I was really affected by what I saw that day and I wanted to see every aspect of it that I could. The first time I saw the top third of the south tower tilted over at that crazy angle before falling in on itself was in one of those books. As I think back on seeing that for the first time, I realize that something about that photo struck me wrong. Why would the top tip over like that but not fall over? It didn't match up to what I had personally experienced when playing with toys, building and stacking things, etc. If the building broke off at the point of damage, then it should have fallen off. That only seems like common sense to me now, but at the time, I dismissed my thoughts due to lack of understanding about the buildings and how the collapse. Given the unprecedented nature of the events, that too is wholly understandable for anyone. Now that we know the buildings were all demolished, we are finally able to truly comprehend what we witnessed.

I watched the second plane hit live on T.V. Later I watched the two towers fall and had a hard time reconciling all the dust clouds and pancake theories with what I understood about structural behavior. When I saw WTC 7 collapsing without an airliner impact even though there were some fires and exterior debris damage and saw the way it came down, I knew there must be missing information. Structures should deform toward weakness until the remaining structure provides support. WTC 7 fell into its base because support was removed continuously from the base floors resulting in the progressive disappearance of the largely undeformed upper floors into the base. The observed process is pretty close to the definition of a controlled demolition. A true investigation is overdue!

Objects FALL down because of Gravity. duh! The buildings BLEW Outward, chunks of it flying HORIZONALLY for hundreds of yards. Just LOOK at the photos. Huge I beam steel columns do not compress, they bend and twist under tremendous forces. Most of the columns I have seen were CUT at regular intervals. It did not happen by chance. It was a planned and computer controlled DESTRUCTION with over 3,000 American Citizens murdered in the process!
