On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I then studied architecture at University of Illinois Champagne for three years, and became licensed without completing my undergrad degree. In 1993, Brian Thompson joined the local combination volunteer fire department, working beside Seattle firefighters and trained at the Washington State Fire Academy. Seven years later, he earned his undergraduate degree in civil engineering from Marquette University, including a 12-month internship in fire protection engineering at a consultancy in downtown Chicago. For the next 2 years he continued to work as a volunteer firefighter. Thompson then attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) where he earned his Master's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering. While at WPI, he attended Professor Jonathan Barnett's building fire safety lecture on the first anniversary of 9-11, in which Barnett describing his involvement and experience as a FEMA investigator, and their findings. He holds professional licenses in both Fire Protection Engineering and Civil Engineering in multiple states, and came into the role of Principal in 2006 practicing fire protection engineering design and consulting.

In an effort to answer these questions, I have researched various information and data compiled by others. My research has left these questions unresolved, and reinforced my doubt in the official story regarding the cause of collapse for both WTC towers and Building 7.

Armed with a 135 IQ and a passion for music, I made my own way to success. Taught guitar privately and at local community colleges during my 30 year teaching career. I retired in 2007.

Looking back, I think because of the sheer horror of the event that I was in denial. My initial research into the WTC Building 7 collapse is what led me to research further. It became increasingly apparent that jets and fires were not what brought the three buildings down -- these were classic cases of controlled demolition. The American people need first to learn the truth about how those buildings really came down and then uncover who all were responsible, but I fear our main obstacle is that the foxes are guarding the hen houses.

I do not accept the official theory that WTC 7 collapsed symmetrically into its own footprint at nearly free fall speed due to structural damage and fires alone. An object falling to earth at free fall speed, by definition, does not encounter resistance along the way. The rigid structure of interconnected columns, beams, and girders provide substantial resistance to physical forces. Indeed, that is their function. This is one of many reasons why I feel a new, independent investigation is necessary. The ramifications from the events of that day are enormous for the people of the world. It is our duty to strive for the truth.

Nearly free-fall acceleration shows that DURING crumbling of each of the main WTC buildings, very little potential energy went into demolishing the supporting columns, as well as pulverizing concrete - so how come 90K of concrete & metal decking were pulverized into dust in mid-air? Let's really do a comparison - let's compare the energy needed for this task and ask where it could come from if not potential energy of the building standing up? Also, it's looks very strange that ALL columns totally failed at the same time without visible damage to lower floors and without slowing the fall of the building.

I don't have any real technical expertise, but am very willing to learn. However, I am a 9/11 survivor. I worked for the federal government, and my office was about one mile away from the Pentagon when the explosion happened. I have believed there was something wrong from day one even before the official story came out. As you will see, I moved to the UK and have been here for nearly five years. I intend to make Europe, if not the UK, my permanent residence, although I will be making trips back to the US on occasion and will try for a dual citizenship status.
One thing that has always bothered me about the attacks has been, where was the the NTSB investigators. None were ever called, particularly for the Pentagon. If a plane did indeed hit it, why were there no investigators there? I did not see any. I was able to get within 800 yards of the building, and when I asked a Federal Marshal where they were at was quickly told to leave. It was rather bizarre. A scientific explanation is one of the few ways to explain what precisely what happened on that day; we can inject our own realpolitik-er later, but let's get the scientific evidence out first.

Jonathan Barnett's work on steel recovered from the WTC7 debris was called perhaps the deepest mystery of 9/11. What does it prove and what conclusions can we draw? I believe the results cannot be explained by an ordinary office or fuel fire. I believe the results prove that sulfur was deliberately placed in WTC7, and that the sulfur was heated to a higher temperature than consistent with the official explanation. The sulfur could NOT have come from gypsum (calcium sulfate) in the drywall. At the very least, we must conclude that arson was committed in WTC7. Such evidence of arson justifies an investigation on any day except 9/11/2001.

There has been no credible explanation for the failure of every pertinent branch of the government to act effectively or react responsibly to the evidence before, during, or since the attacks. I have a doctorate, but it is not in science. I have worked since I was 16 but am now elderly and retired. I have lived an interesting life, and I am grateful for that. But I feel very sad for the people who died in the 9/11 travesty. A friend of mine works in Manhattan, and she had to walk home, saw the explosion, breathed the air....she said it was terrifying. I think that 9/11 should never have happened.
There are too many things about the official position that simply do not add up. I believe this 9/11 destruction was done for political reasons, and to make people afraid of 'terrorists'. But the 'terrorists' who did this spent a long time planting explosives in the buildings...they had that authority. It was planned in advance by certain government workers and nothing was done to stop it from happening. It was clearly designed to make Americans afraid, and was used to put through legislation that would never have passed. I remember how we all flew flags after that, and wore lapel ribbons of red white and blue. Out of fear that we would be seen as 'unpatriotic'...and then they passed the 'Patriot Act' which severely limits our freedoms.

I taught theology at a seminary in Albania for three years, then taught at St. John's College in Santa Fe, NM, for seven years, from 1998 to 2005. Since then I have worked various jobs, and have been translating the writings of a medieval Greek patriarch, John Bekkos, who supported the union of the Churches.
I am convinced that the collapse of WTC Building 7 was a planned demolition: if for no other reason than that news reporters were reporting that it had fallen down before it actually did. And there is much evidence to suggest that the same is true of the Twin Towers themselves, that the planes which hit the towers were not what actually brought them down. The squibs appearing in video footage of the buildings' collapse, especially at points of greatest structural reinforcement, are one of the clearest pieces of evidence pointing to timed explosives, along with the rate of free fall and the disappearance of the central steel pillars.

I have my formal training in economics, geological science, public health, and statistics. While I do not have much formal training in engineering, I am familiar with scientific methodology as well as international finance and politics. Any appropriate investigation will need to be thorough and multipdisciplinary in scope if we hope to get to the truth about 911.
911 is suspicious on so many levels but a better understanding of the available chemical and physical evidence is probably the best place to begin a more detailed and NON-PARTISAN investigation. Aside from the terrible tragedy and loss of lives associated with 911 directly, at least as many more died in Iraq and Afghanistan not to mention billions of dollars spent--which wars most likely never would have place without the pretext of a 911 Reichstaght type of event. Everyone either directly or indirectly is suffering to some level because of these events--even if it is only the loss of freedom and peace of mind which we had prior to 911.

It is clear from the evidence that has now been presented that the buildings were brought down by controlled demolition. The buildings could not possibly have collapsed at free-fall speed unless their structures were substantially weakened using carefully engineered explosive blasts and cutter charges. Analysis of the dust from the site shows abundant presence of chemicals that would not have been present under any circumstances had explosives not been used. Further, videos of plumes and anecdotal evidence show explosions occurring as many as forty floors below the 'collapsing' floors; other evidence reveals that sub-floor explosions preceded the collapse of the two main towers. At this point, hundreds of articles written by qualified individuals who have closely researched the evidence clearly establish these and many, many other points that the formal inquiry chose to ignore.

On-site reports of hearing explosions in the towers from news-persons, police, firefighters, and ordinary citizens corroborate the presence of explosive material in the buildings before the planes hit. The towers were closed for inspection at times prior to 9.11.01. The man-in-charge of the building security is suspicious for reasons of nepotism.

When we saw the buildings come down, we all thought it looked like a controlled demolition. It was obvious. But when we were told the fuel created high enough temperatures to damage the steel supports, we wanted to believe it, so we did. But now I've heard the evidence, and reason tells me the buildings most certainly did not collapse. I'm sad for this country, and I'm afraid to sign this petition.

My expertise is in history of religions and classical studies (Northwestern University PhD), not architecture or engineering. However, my study of history in general, and of 9/11 events in particular, leads me to great suspicion about the official explanations of 9/11.
I am persuaded by evidence of controlled demolition of the three WTC buildings, despite the difficulties of all the logistical and political assumptions that must be made if this scenario is true. Studies by Michael Ruppert, David Ray Griffin, Webster Tarpley, Barrie Zwicker, and many others present a convincing case.
