PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I was working on the core-and-shell retrofit of the landmark Bank of New York building at 48 Wall Street the morning of 9/11/2001. After being notified that the WTC north tower was on fire, I paused a project meeting for a 15 minute break. We never got back to it. I personally stood at the corner of Liberty Park, which is across from WTC Borders Book Store when the second plane hit. The things that went on over the next few days I have always wondered about and questioned in my mind. On day three, I was called back for the disconnect of 48 Wall St. from the power grid. This was necessary, as the electric company would be attempting to power up downtown and did not want to electrically blow out any buildings on power up. How amazing it was to witness; truly an incredible effort to re-set a temporary power grid above ground over all of the lower downtown area in such a short time. Especially, which I did not know at the time, the main power feeds were completely severed from the collapse. The quantity of heavy cabling required on site so quickly and laid out on the street surfaces - alone an incredibly coordinated task - add to it all the volcanic ash type dusting, vehicles all over the areas and war zone type images. Now in retrospect, the coordinated removal of the debris began immediately. The firm I was with had assigned one or two engineers to assist on dismantling design and sketching. They along with one of the firms huge cranes were removed shortly after. From my first basic structural classes, I was told that the biggest danger to a steel structure that was exposed to high heat was that the affected or exposed steel would eventually lose its integrity and become rubbery - stressed past its modulus of elasticity. In witnessing the second plane hit the south/east corner of the south tower, and assuming that the heat was intense enough - long enough, the tower would have failed at and around impact height. In my opinion, it should have looked like a wrecked car that had been broadsided. The building would have been compromised from that corner and up and diagonally. To the extent that adjacent structural bays away from impact or heat areas would have reacted from the new imposed lateral and vertical stresses, I cannot speculate, I would only say that it would have been slow. That's all for now . . . My prayers to all those firemen (many just boys, it seemed), whose faces I looked at as they got out of their cars and pick-ups and were suiting up in fire equipment. The faces of disbelief as they walked the block or two towards WTC. These are but a few images I will never forget.

I am a very successful reliability engineer because I understand the physics of how machines are supposed to work, and subsequently, why they don't work.

I was suspicious of the news stories that said that a jet fuel fire collapsed a modern steel frame skyscraper....as if kerosene had the heat capacity to melt steel or there were even enough calories in the fuel tank of a single airplane to melt the massive steel columns of the WTC buildings... all the way to the basement. It also bothered me that two chaotic events (separate airplanes hitting WTC 1 and WTC 2 in different locations) resulted in identical failures.

I have always been disturbed by the videos of the WTC buildings collapsing: it seems to me that the twin towers could not have collapsed vertically to the ground as they did just from the side impacts of the planes at their uppermost stories. It doesn't make sense that fires from jet fuel could melt structural steel, let alone in sufficient quantity to collapse both towers. And what about Building 7, which was not hit by a plane at all? The official explanation does not seem to cover the facts as they appear to anyone watching the events unfold with a reasonable understanding of basic physics. If the official story were true, then why hasn't there been investigation and radical re-engineering of structural building codes for high-rises? The insurance companies and developers would demand this at a bare minimum.

During the myriad of replays I viewed, before and during each tower collapse, I saw and heard different events taking place that fully convinced me other forces were at play bringing these buildings down. To name a few: 1) explosions coupled with smoke appearing at the base of the towers moments before the collapse. 2) squibs appearing to shoot out from various floors far below the initial damage area. 3) the manner in which the dust and smoke seemed to be expelled up and out from the building like an explosion as it descended. What also disturbed me was the area was totally void of being treated like a crime scene by police and government officials. Structural material was readily hauled away and shipped to foreign lands without any scientific or engineering analysis being performed. Having spent over 23 years in the military I knew in my gut with the speed at which critical evidence was disappearing and flat out lies being told by government agents, i.e. Like the aircraft black boxes found by fireman and taken by FBI agents, then making statements they weren't found. Mohammad Atta's wallet found in pristine condition a couple blocks away. Well gentleman, I smell the same rat I smelled at various times during my military career. Thats my story and I'm stickin' to it until the truth is known and all involved held fully accountable, regardless of how far up the chain this trail leads us. There WILL be accountability for 9/11...

I found the squib charges in WTC 7 to be irrefuatble evidence of controlled demolition. The implications, while disturbing, reveal more than ever a country without the ideals of Thomas Jefferson, and Benjaimin Franklin. I do think that an un-biased and thorough investigation of the collapse needs to be performed and taking into account all the evidence that has come to light by all of the various sources. While I would like my name to remain on your petition, I recommend for your own credibility and that of all of our names that less convincing and ambiguous aspects be eliminated from your arguments along with discussions of motive. I think consideration needs to be given to many possibilities as non-controlled collapses are nearly completely outside of human experience; whether architect, engineer, or even building demolition expert, none of us have an expectation of how forces at this scale and in these condition should behave. After spending a fair amount of web time investigating myself, I have seen a lot of real amateurish conspiracy mongers that are giving your cause a really bad name. While I believe your spokesman is the most credible I have seen, by keeping your arguments scientific and non-emotional you elevate your own position and improve chances for the end goal, a complete investigation into the collapses.

I am a father of 2 sons and married. Going to school for computer programming.
I am concerned because the buildings seem to fall down with no resistance. The fire fighters report huge pools of molten metal. Normal office fires could not have melted the steel columns. Building 7 falls in 6.6 seconds even though no plane hit it. There were a number of witnesses who reported hearing explosions going off and there is even footage of this. One of the twin towers has some molten metal dripping off of the corner just seconds before the buildings fall, which to me looked like a thermite reaction. Dr Steve Jones of BYU reported that he found unignited thermate in the dust of the towers. There is just too much evidence that is being ignored here. We need a new investigation.

When the second Tower fell as the first, I knew there was a discoverable explanation. One could fall inexplicably for any number of hidden causes or dynamics. I have always been interested in electronics and architecture. I chose the electronics path. However, I still am fascinated by buildings and their construction and design. I am currently working for a law firm doing networking and software/hardware support.
Being extremely interested in skyscrapers, I was very familiar with the twin towers before Sept. 11. I was also already familiar with the B-25 Bomber that crashed into the Empire State Building back in the 40's so it was perplexing to me that a plane could bring down a building of that size, much less two of them. I never questioned the official statement until I actually started doing some research into it myself and have had my eyes opened completely. Buildings simply do not fall at, or near the rate of gravity from something other than demolition techniques. Please open this up to independent investigation. The people deserve it.

I believe there is sufficient reason to question the government's official position on the collapse of the WTC twin towers. But above all, the collapse of Building 7 and the lack of investigation into its collapse, is what I find most troubling.

I graduated in 1984 from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S degree in Computer Sciences, with honors. I had accepted the official story of 9/11 until 2008 when I saw a video about the inconsistencies therein. The three elements of that video that caused me to wake up were the visible squibs; the video evidence of explosions in the WTC garage; and especially the manner in which Building 7 came down. My physics classes came back to me and I was reminded of Richard Feynman's quote: For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for nature cannot be fooled. The official story violates the laws of physics in so many obvious ways; and depends on a public willing to overlook these facts in a state of denial or ignorance.

I attended private grade school, high school, and college schools. I have been a full-time software engineer since graduating college in 1992. My professional work experience includes assignments at the corporate offices of three different billion-dollar companies. I have been taught and must utilize at work skills in deduction, prediction, estimation, development, and management.
Having read and viewed discussions of the collapse of the 3 WTC buildings, as well as viewing numerous documentaries provided by network programs such as ABC, NBC, and PBS, I see a vast preponderance of evidence that supports the theory of controlled demolition and not the established pancake theory. Though the evidence is so overwhelming, bringing these issues up to intelligent friends and co-workers only elicits crazed looks and laughs. I can only assume the engineering concepts are too difficult for them to grasp, or they have just blindly believed the smattering of television and magazine articles that push the pancake theory. This is a horrifying concept to me that people can so easily throw their conscience out the window and close their eyes to the truth.

I do not have a background in engineering or physics. However I do have common sense and a basic understanding of the effects of gravity and I feel that the official story doesn't make any sense.
The collapse of all three structures does not appear to have been caused by fires. The violent ejections of building materials from the WTC towers 1 and 2 looked like explosions. Also, the Bush administration did not even want to investigate the collapses until pressure was put on them from the families of the 9/11 victims.

After examining video footage and scientific data related to the collapse of the World Trade Center buildings, I believe this evidence does not conform to the report offered by the NIST and the generalized consensus that the building fell due to damage incurred by the airplane strikes alone. The collapse of Building 7 is especially concerning. The American people and the people who died that day deserve to see this matter studied further and by an independent investigation.
