PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

Have been designing building structures for 35 years both in the UK and the Middle East with local UK based consultancies and with a large project management company in Saudi Arabia. For the last 14 years, I have owned and run a structural design consultancy in Edinburgh, UK specializing in steel framed, masonry and timber building designs.
From the outset, watching the collapses on television, it was clear there were very serious questions to be asked about how three robust steel framed buildings collapsed into their own footprints, one of which had not been struck by an aircraft and had been subject to a relatively minor fire. Given the evidence from multiple witnesses regarding explosions in the buildings before and after the planes struck, the stand-down of the US air force, the admission by the owner of the buildings of the decision to demolish Building 7, the immediate removal of structural evidence, the high temperature fires in the basements, the evidence for explosive residues in dust and obvious unwillingness of US authorities to offer a reasoned and full engineering explanation for the collapses. Since 911, the two relevant UK engineering institutions have failed to provide an analysis or to offer advice to structural engineers on progressive collapse and fire protection in steel framed buildings in complete contrast to previous serious building collapses. In my opinion, the official report on the collapses, or any other that I am aware of was entirely inadequate and should be reopened to fully investigate the reasons for these building failures and offer advice and guidance on limiting risk in future, and existing, structures.

I worked in the World Trade Center for several years. It was seen by many as a trusted feat of engineering, but more importantly a safe place to work and view the City - even in sever windy weather. Not knowing, for sure, why it collapsed will forever leave scars and breed doubt about the safety of such structures. Not only those who lost love ones, but those who place their trust in new structures, need to know that everything of conjecture was thoroughly reviewed; that design, fabrication, and operation of new buildings breed out whatever weaknesses that could lead to such a collapse. The evidence clearly leaves in doubt that this was not done. Trust in our government is just as important. As it stands, how can the public trust their elected officials or appointed staff? A new, properly conducted investigation is critical to all concerned!

After viewing the documentation about the evidence surrounding World Trade Center 7, and comparing it to structural characteristics of building materials under fire conditions, the explanations given by NIST don't quite match up. While some structural failure of the building after prolonged exposure to fire conditions fueled by office materials is possible, large structural steel beams would yield slowly over time and the building collapsing all at once is all but impossible, unless it was engineered to do so.

Building 7 collapsed without significant damage from planes, or other obvious external sources. Several first responders including firemen reported explosions in building 1 and 2, including in the basements, prior to the collapse events. Combined with the prodigious volume of fine-grained dust (blown outward from the buildings, and the smoking gun of thermite residue analyzed from metal girder samples, plus persistent pools of molten metal beneath rubble (kerosene jet fuel cannot melt steel), highly suggest the intention demolition of WTC high-rise office buildings independent of external damage caused by aircraft collisions. The mainstream explanation of the WTC demolitions cannot explain away the above observations. A politically independent panel of experts must be convened to finally expose the truth of what happened to the WTC on 9-11-2001.

I concluded early on that the official explanation, even before the 9/11 Commission report, did not add up. The first couple of items that I found suspicious were 1) the pulverizing of the concrete and 2) the free fall of the Towers in less than 10 seconds. Since 2001 I have read many books on the subject starting with Painful Questions by Eric Hufschmid, The New Pearl Harbor by David Ray Griffin (I saw him speak in Berkeley a year ago with Peter Phillips) and Towers of Deception by Barrie Zwicker the latter of which included the CD The Great Conspiracy. From the latter book I agreed with the author (and Richard Gage whom I heard on KPFA today) that there needs to be another, more thorough, investigation of the events of 9/11/2001. To add to my list of suspicious items, I saw a public showing of a CD, in 2004, where the focus was on experienced criminal investigators and how they were making the case about the rapid shipment of the steel from the Towers to India and China and that act was destroying evidence at the scene of a crime. I worked at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center from 2001-2005. I was amazed how otherwise very savvy physicists and engineers didn't want to entertain the thought, or evidence, that the official explanation did not add up. They willingly accept the official pancake theory. I have my own theory about their willingness to accept the official explanation. Several years ago I came across a term called cognitive dissonance. The psychological description goes like this: the term describes an uncomfortable mental tension that arises from results from having two (or more) conflicting thoughts at the same time i.e. The Towers falling was a bad, terrible event and My government is here to help me and they couldn't have had anything to do with the destruction of the Towers.

My primary function in the military was to coordinate and oversee large scale operations, coordinating and organizing enormous quantities of personnel and complex equipment required to carry out diverse and wide ranging tactical objectives. I also worked as a Command Assessment Inspector/Evaluator, in this capacity I was required to evaluate all aspects of military bases and individual command departments to identify in command performance, or any violation or deviance from established procedures. I have worked as a metallurgical and failure analysis consultant for over 6 years. Currently perform air quality inspections, and plan reviews for the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality.
Considering the design and method of failure of the world trade center buildings and the evidence of the damage and debris from the building collapses it is clear that these structures underwent a high energy failure mechanism that cannot be attributed to a localized structural instability or heat induced by one or more collisions with a jet aircraft and the ensuing fires. As a concerned citizen I believe a full, complete and open investigation of the failures and the evidence of the twin towers, and world trade center 7 building collapse is vital and necessary to the security of the nation.
