Yesterday we received notice that the United States Supreme Court has denied AE911Truth’s petition in our case against the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

While this news is disappointing, our efforts to take NIST to task for its demonstrably false World Trade Center 7 report have served a critical strategic purpose.

Not only have we been able to further our mission of educating the public about the World Trade Center evidence by chasing NIST up the legal ladder, but in doing so we have shed light on a disturbing standard under which our federal government currently operates.

By cynically retreating from accountability for its WTC 7 report rather than address the merits of our evidence, our government has exposed the illusion that its conclusions on the matter are scientifically sound.

An important deliberation is now in motion which will affect the very future of our country.

Earlier this year, AE911Truth’s attorneys submitted a petition to the United States Supreme Court. Among the challenges included within it is a decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia in our case against NIST which claimed that, provided federal agency reports meet statutory requirements, the federal government is allowed to issue false reports, even when solid evidence proves their conclusions to be wrong!

Today, AE911Truth is happy to announce that our petition challenging this startling ruling is moving forward and has been distributed to the nine Justices of the Supreme Court for consideration at their upcoming conference on April 26.
