PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I earned my BSCE degree from the University of Massachusetts with a major in structures and later an MS degree in civil engineering from Cornell University. After graduation from UMass, I was employed in the field by two of the nation''s largest building construction companies, first the Austin Company (a design/build firm) and later the George A. Fuller Construction Company. The construction of one of the Austin Company building projects was the basis of my master's thesis. I also taught building design and construction related courses to civil engineering and architectural students at Vermont Technical College for twenty years.
In 2006 I became aware of the unprecedented collapse of WTC Building 7 and the Twin Towers at free-fall speed. Professor Steven Jones' video lecture was a stunning revelation and a wake-up call. My experience and further research confirmed the uncomfortable facts as presented by Professor Jones. I also found it disturbing that most politicians seem to have little interest in exploring any theory other than the official jetliners / fires-caused-the-collapses theory. I was told the following in a response letter from one of our representatives in Washington: Regarding conspiracy theories surrounding the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center, a number of theories questioning the events that occurred on and before September 11, 2001 have circulated. They are patently false. Several videos have been posted on the internet on this subject, and they too are false.... The 9/11 Commission, a bipartisan group of nationally respected individuals, evaluated all relevant testimony and documents related to the events and provided a detailed account of what actually happened on that fateful morning. However, this nationally respected 9/11 Commission failed to include some very important facts and testimonies in their report even though they had to have been aware of them. For example, the 9/11 Commission Report completely omitted the unprecedented collapse of Building 7. Many of the facts and theories that engineers have learned in such courses as structures, physics, chemistry, metallurgy, etc., have held true for longer than the hundred-year history of structural-steel-framed high-rise buildings and they held true on 9/11/01. Only controlled demolition could have provided the types of building collapses displayed three times on that fateful day.

What is declared by NIST as reasons for the building collapse does not make engineering sense, does not follow laws of mettalurgy, nor follows laws of physics for free fall. On 9/11 I felt, no that cannot be, that is not right. I just saw 3 buildings destroyed by controlled demolition. It immediately made me perk up and pay attention. I began to wonder what this meant. after a week of news it became apparent this was much more than everyone was thinking. The witnesses were saying there were explosions / I thought the idea of pancaking was contradictory to the structure I knew the towers had. These buildings just could not free-fall without some kind of explosive help getting rid of key core columns.

I have 23 years experience as a mechanical engineer. I hold a BS in Civil Engineering and a AAS in HVAC design. I have worked as a consulting engineer, marine engineer, mechanical contractor, waste-water plant operator and building maintenance engineer. My educational background in civil engineering combined with my work experience, mainly in mechanical engineering, has given me a broad background in all aspects of engineering and construction.
I was working for a consulting engineer (Lizardos Engineering, Albertson, NY) at the time of the first bombing of the Towers in 1993. Two of our engineers were in the building at the time of the bombing. They returned to the office unharmed but certainly shaken up and covering in soot. I don't really think anyone needs to be an engineer or physicist to look at the footage and evidence from 9/11 and come up with many questions.The manner in which all three towers fell is not remotely consistent with the official explanation. The official explanation, in fact, is not even remotely consistent with the laws of physics!

The 9/11 Commission report is completely inadequate. It does not even acknowledge the destruction of WTC-7. The NIST reports stop short of explaining the destruction of the twin towers - choosing to attempt to deal with initiation of collapse only. The symmetrical freefall destruction of WTC-7 into its footprint due to 'ordinary office fires' and a single column failure strains credulity beyond its limits. Real investigations by the National Transportation Safety Board, Chemical Safety Board, etc. are thorough and to the highest ethical and professional standards - using all available evidence to arrive at logical science-based conclusions. This type of investigation has yet to occur for the events of 9/11. The current dubious conclusions of the 9/11 investigation require cherry-picked evidence, a secret model that is off limits to peer review, and exclusion of contradictory evidence. The process used was anything but scientific. It is long past due for a truly professional and science-based inquiry into the tragic events of 9/11. We owe it to the victims and the families of those killed on that fateful day.

More than sufficient evidence exists to warrant a thorough, independent investigation into the events of September 11th, 2001. Such an investigation should be conducted by an international team of open-minded scientists and engineers dedicated to finding the truth. If the official report is correct, it should be rigorously proven; and the anomalies that now exist should be explained. If the official report is not correct, that should also be rigorously shown, and widely reported in the media in non-technical terms. It would seem essential at this point to understand in great detail what happened on that day, and why.

I have to admit with embarassment that I did not give thought initially to how the two main towers could have collapsed due to the planes. But I could not believe that after that had happened, the Pentagon was not protected enough to allow to a plane to fly into it. As for Building 7, I did not know about it for quite a while. Once I did find out about it, I realized how many more strange things happened on 9/11 than were discussed in the mainstream media, including various details related to the two main towers.

The buildings could not fall as they did; the destroyed areas were far at the top and can not affect the lower part of the buildings. Besides, the third building that collapsed was not attacked at all - that fact cannot be explained.

Theatre and Social Justice. For a long time. A 60's kid. Been teaching theatre for 40 years and Theatre of the Oppressed for 20. I have questions. Especially, I want to know how a large airplane made the hole in the Pentagon that we can see, and why no jet engines were ever found there. I'm also curious about the Pennsylvania crash and why it was completely protected and then covered up. But I'm also curious about those towers. I'm not a conspiracy theorist on this one, but as a university scholar I definitely would like a panel outside the control of the Bush administration, and completely independent and professional, engage in much depth into the stories and the science.

I retired from the Natl. Inst. Environmental Health Sciences in 1995 after over 30 years employment as a Federal Civil Servant Research Chemist. My research efforts had ranged from analytical biochemistry to characterization of intermediary metabolism pathways, pharmacological structure-activity studies, peptide isolation/characterization, studies of biological conditions which effect various toxicological/behavioral end-points. Nothing in my training or background would qualify me to contribute to solving the 9/11 disasters; my training, as well as my interest in crime-solving mystery books/movies does, however, motivate my interest in trying to find rational solutions to some of the unique crimes in world history.
As a retired biochemist, I decided it was time to try to understand what's going on in the real world. My subsequent studies permitted recognition that the events of 9/11/2001 reflected an effort to initiate a war with certain elements of the Muslim culture. In so far as 'dancing Israelis' were discovered nearby the elegantly executed destruction of WTC 1 & 2, it seemed likely that an event of this magnitude could only have happened with the aid of the obsessive intervention specialists in Israel's Mossad. The facts that (a) GWB was permitted to steal the 2000 election, and (b) Dick Cheney appointed himself to the Vice Presidency, indicated something strange was going on and the audacity of the 2003 Iraq invasion plan was simply overwhelming; At the time, I could not understand those events. Now I think they are all related.

I did my graduate work here in 1986 in music. I completed PH.D. coursework the following year. I have lived in Manhattan for nearly 36 years and did a lot of temporary office stints at the World Trade Center. I have no expertise that is germane to these discussion. I do, however, have the ability to question authority.
As I watched the towers burn, I asked myself how they could possibly fight fires 1,100 feet above ground. It had occurred to me they might have to be pulled. If the buildings were allowed to fall laterally, casualties would have been far higher. It was unthinkable however, they'd actually do it. How could they with all the smoke and debris? I wondered if they had been fitted with explosives when they were built, hoping they'd never have to be used.

The fact that the official story is so obviously false is disturbing on several levels. History will have no doubt that it is a lie -- what is still open is how this plays out. I am concerned about what will happen and I think we should be prepared for the possibility that some version of 9/11 truth will be used for political purposes. This could very easily lead to the break up of the United States. It may be that nothing can stop this now. We should be thinking about what kind of government we want to live under and the process by which our leaders are chosen. I keep coming back to the same question: if they wanted the official version to stick, why did they make it physically impossible? The only conclusion I reach is that getting caught might be part of the plan. I am surprised there aren't more people discussing this possibility. It's like the Kennedy assassination, except that it's orders of magnitude more ridiculous.

We need to reopen an investigation in Congress of what happened on 9-11, including WTC7, and the irrefutable evidence for explosive demolition of all three Towers, which is there on film and the seismic record, as well as chemical analysis of the dust and iron beams. This evidence was excluded from the 9-11 Commission report, and also not included in the NIST report. This exclusion of crucial evidence makes these official reports appear to be cover-ups of the truth.

I have been a neurobiologist for over 40 years and a faculty member at Univ. Washington since 1972. I retired in 2007, but am continuing part time research as an emeritus faculty member, with special interests in understanding nerve:tissue interactions in normal, injured, and healing conditions. I have been a precinct committee person for the Democrats in the 1970s as well as other community work such as a Seattle PTSA officer in the 1970s. I joined Scholars for 911 Truth and Justice in 2008.
The WTC buildings clearly could only have fallen the way they did (free fall rate into their own footprint) by controlled demolition that severs steel columns simultaneously, something that cannot happen due to upper level fires. Also, no tall building has even collapsed this way when involved in fires at upper floors. The investigations were superficial, they did not include the third building (WTC#7) or look for signs of explosives, and they have the appearance of a cover up. We need a full investigation to find out what really happened and whether any members of our government allowed this to happen, and if so, who?
