PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

I worked in the engineering industry for five full years before matriculating at Baylor College of Medicine in 1994.Part of my professional engineering career involved developing computer simulation programs for modeling the interactions between rigid bodies and terrain and propulsion systems.
I believe there are many more like me. People who vividly recall watching those beautiful buildings fall on live television. When it happened, an eerie sense of disbelief entered our experience. Yes, it was shocking, but something deeper was occurring. I believe it has to do with the disparity between what we were watching and some basic laws of kinematics that have been drilled into our minds from rigorous study combined with everyday experience. Those buildings fell like soda cans being crushed under a heel - except there was no giant above bearing down upon them. The only other possibility was a global, complete, symmetric and near instantaneous degradation of the structural integrity of each of the three buildings. The 911 commission report written by NIST is pure folly - not in what reports, but it what it DOESN'T report. I urge everyone to examine the official explanation with the same scrutiny that you use to examine all other theories.

I am a retired Major General, Army National Guard, and I have 38 years of work as a mechanical engineer with the department of Navy in the design of weapons, components, and transportation means. I have read numerous reports containing both calculations and science as well as opinions, watched numerous videos of interviews with experts, watched the collapse of all buildings more times than I can accurately state and there are many factors which simply do not fit the scenario. What I have read of the residual chemical evidence pointing to materials for which there is no logical explanation, other than that an explosives expert with unique access to materials was involved. Most importantly, perhaps, is the indisputable fact that all three buildings fell as in a controlled demolitions scenario. The fuel from the planes did not have enough energy to transfer to the massive central support beams and cause structural failure. Therefore, something else had to be in play to cause what we saw. Then in Building 7, it had no damage from a plane strike. What would have caused it to fall shortly after the owner's decision to 'pull it'? My view is that this is a false flag operation and the USA is up to it's eyeballs in it. I have not continuously followed this crime because it was clear from the beginning that it was being swept under the rug, but there were some very resourceful engineers who studied the rate of acceleration of the fall of the two towers and determined that there was insignificant deviation from free fall. Meaning that the towers did not take a detour and crash their way down one floor at a time, overcoming the strength of each floor, which equates to time, thus loosing that straight-line acceleration we would expect unless a number of floors were assisted by controlled demolition. And what about all that molten steel that was running like a small stream in the basement with traces of thermite in it?

It was clear to me from the beginning that the twin towers were imploded. Further, there is no engineering evidence that Building #7 would fail catastrophically from fires. It is my opinion that a third plane was scheduled to hit Building #7, but crashed in Pennsylvania instead. The implosion and subsequent lack of reporting raises too many questions to be ignored!

WTC Building 7 would have not failed from a simple fire of office furniture. And if it did fail, it would not have a free fall collapse. A free fall collapse can only happen if the structural steel columns are compromised evenly and simultaneously.

Bldg 7 appears to be a classic explosive demolitions. The bldg is pulled inward and is in free-fall. There appears to be no resistance from the lower structural members. The damage and fire in the bdlg do not explain the sudden collapse of the structure.

It seemed as if the collapses were classic implosions. While not a structural engineer, my HVAC design work has necessitated basic knowledge of structures to prevent overload from chilled water piping and rooftop HVAC machinery (chillers, air handling units, package cooling units, etc.). I am a Senior Materials Engineer in the offshore oil and gas industry in the UK and Norway sectors of the North Sea and I have over 20 years experience - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and Masters degree in Offshore Engineering.
Even at the temperatures of building fires, the steel of construction could not lose sufficient strength to collapse under a partial structure load as is evidenced by 15 and 29 floors weight for each respective twin tower - the design load factors are simply too high to permit such failure. If mechanical failure were to occur, it would have occurred almost instantly and certainly asymmetrically.

I lived in Long Island as a kid from 1982 to 1984 and had the opportunity to visit the Twin Towers on two occasions then. By the way the buildings came down it is obvious to me that the cause would not have been the colision of both planes: if anything, when heated, steel structures should bend at the point that first looses the demanded resistance and would never colapse in a fragile manner throughout their entire length simultaneously. I am recently retired from a 30-yr career as a structural engineer in the military defense aerospace industry, holding DoD Secret Clearance throughout. My academic training was in civil structural engineering, and while I spent most of my career in space launch applications focusing on rocket structures, I managed the Ground Systems Structures Section at The Aerospace Corporation and have considerable practical experience with ground structures and facilities. I also have vast experience in failure investigations of launch systems and am well versed in the inter-disciplinary analyses -- thermodynamics, ballistics, structural dynamic and structures -- required to develop and explore credible hypotheses.
I was initially a skeptic regarding the possibility that the WTC was brought down by explosives. I erroneously thought that the conspiracy theories were based upon the notion that steel had to melt to precipitate a failure (it does not), and that rocket fuel doesn't burn at sufficient temperature to liquify steel (which is true). After reviewing the overwhelming evidence presented by the 911 Truth Organization, it is apparent to me that the steel did in fact melt, and that is incontrovertible evidence of the use of explosives. Together with the visual evidence, particularly that of WTC 7's signature implosion, there can be no doubt in the mind of anyone trained in structural engineering that these buildings were brought down by carefully placed explosive charges. NONE WHATSOEVER. As unthinkable as it is to me, it is hard to believe that anyone except agents of the U.S. federal government could have had the access and resources necessary to commit this atrocity.

I am a Vietnam War veteran who served two tours, and have been a registered professional engineer for 24 years.
I witnessed the first tower fall and thought the symmetric collapse very unusual but thought with an exact combination of circumstances, it could happen, but the chances were the same as winning a lottery. When the second tower collapsed, I became very skeptical and remain so. The third building collapsing erases any possibility of this attack being conducted without on-the-ground support. I believe the air attack was known prior to the attack and used as a diversion to demolish the buildings for some yet unknown reason.

I graduated in 1998 as a civil engineer, specializing in structures, roads and railroads in the ISPAJE, Havana City, Cuba. When I saw the collapse of the buildings on television in Cuba, I remembered what my professor of Resistance of Materials said: the laws of physics can never be violated. When I watched the program on the Discovery Channel about the collapse of the towers I thought one of two possibilities existed: either it was a fault in the design of the building or it was a controlled demolition. The last explains everything without violating the laws of physics.

The explanations contained in the 9/11 Commission's official report are unscientific and false, as David Ray Griffin has demonstrated in great detail in his books. The NIST reports on the collapses of the Twin Towers and WTC7 ignore key scientific data (nanothermate, near free fall collapse) and eyewitness testimony (of explosions in the buildings before the planes hit), and are based, not on objective physical evidence, but computer simulations whose inputs have been tweaked to somewhat agree with the video evidence of the collapses.

I see too many inconsistencies. I do not believe those buildings collapsed as a result of plane impact. Additionally, too many witnesses heard explosions, and there was significant evidence of explosive residue at the site.

The symmetrical collapse, implosion and nearly free fall of the 3 WTC towers, WTC 7 was not hit by a Boeing, strongly suggest a controlled demolition job on these buildings. The Boeing airplanes with their fuel alone, could not have caused the downfall of the 2 WTC Twin towers, which were steel-metal, framed buildings.

I studied and graduated with a Civil Engineering degree focused in structures at Penn State University.
A uniform collapse of a building over its full width and length at free fall acceleration for 8 stories (as was noted by NIST for building #7), is more than likely not a product of office fires. To achieve this one would need simultaneous and almost instantaneous failures of all supporting columns in a building. The finding of iron microspheres and unignited material which has the signature of nano-thermite based on a team of international scientists (including nano-Chemist Niels Harrit with 60 scientific papers published in the best journals) is equally disturbing and merits an independent investigation into all 3 buildings.

It seems that the when it comes to the collapse of the 3 towers the 9/11 truthers and the 9/11 debunkers are talking about different parts of the collapse. The debunkers focus on the local damage caused by the planes and fires. Their claims of local failure might have some validity but they make no attempt to connect the local failures with the mode of global building failure we all observed. The 9/11 truthers start with the global building failures and work backward to what might have caused it. This seems to me a better approach.

After viewing videos of the collapse of both the Twin Towers and Building 7 and after carefully studying the Official 911 Commission Report and the technical report prepared by FEMA and the Structural Division of the American Society of Civil Engineers, I am convinced that the airplane impacts did not by themselves cause the buildings to collapse -- particularly for Building 7, which was never impacted by an airplane. It appears that internal explosives must have caused the buildings' destruction, and the American People have the right to know who was responsible for this horrific act.

No steel skyscraper has ever collapsed from fire or, when collapsing, has been pulverized into a fine powder. The pancaking theory does not hold up, since we witnessed all 3 buildings collapse at the speed of gravity, and that would mean that there was no resistance as the floors were falling one on top of each other.

Having seen the information put forth in the DVD I am convinced that the towers did NOT fall due to fire, and further, that there had to have been explosive devices involved. NIST's explanation (in my opinion) does not account for the facts.
