To the Members of the House of Representatives and of the Senate of the United States of America,
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT:
On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 – specifically the collapses of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that might have been the actual cause of the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and Building 7.

These areas include, but are not limited to, strength of materials, thermodynamics, statics, and column loading. These buildings fell with acceleration (not constant speed), and collapsed inside of their footprint. If we were to apply sound probability theory to this, you would find it easier to find a particular grain of sand on Daytona Beach.

The freefall acceleration of Building 7, which NIST admits to, is not explained credibly by their computer model. The twin towers should not have fallen at all, since they were in static equilibrium, then suddenly explosively collapsed through the path of most resistance.

I am a Licensed Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering. I worked for 16 years for Stone & Webster Engineering on both Nuclear and Petrochemical plants worldwide with heavy experience in stress analysis.
Though attacked at substantially different elevations, both towers' collapse mode and debris footprint were almost identical to each other. Statistically this defies belief except in the case of a professionally engineered demolition. The collapse of Building 7 defies any belief at all, and should never have happened at all without outside interference. There is no point in listing the many other technical reasons that cause me to sign this petition, since the internet is full of reports on valid inconsistencies or omissions in the 9-11 commission report.

Worked mainly on servo drives and electro-mechanical and hydraulic control systems, now self employed doing development work of embedded controllers for various companies in the electronics industry.
The official story doesn't match the evidence. In particular the damage of an outer load bearing steel structure through a thin aluminium sheet metal plane is not likely. Furthermore the acceleration (and disintegration) of the upper part of the building is clear evidence of a controlled demolition (compare also videos of failed controlled demolitions where the upper half is still standing).

I have a B.S. in Applied Physics from Caltech, and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering both from the University of Michigan. I have two patents and several scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. I received a prestigious Howard Temin early career grant from the NCI/NIH to fund my research in cancer and biomedical research during the past five years.
I visited NYC the weekend before the 9/11 demolitions and was lucky enough to see the Twin Towers before they disappeared from the landscape. I am fully convinced that Al Qaeda could not have been fully responsible for what happened on 9/11. I have watched 911 Blueprint for Truth and feel it is the most honest, lucid, and probable explanation for how those buildings were destroyed. I do not have any expertise in demolitions, but I understand basic physics concepts such as conservation of energy, conservation of momentum/angular momentum. There must have been additional energy imparted to those structures other than airplane impacts, burning jet fuel, and release of gravitational potential energy in order to take them down in the spectacular shock-and-awe fashion in which they were destroyed.

From my basic study of Mechanical Engineering, I can only say that the official storyline is preposterous; a building simply cannot fall at free-fall velocity without breaking the laws of Physics. At most, only the top half of the North Tower should have fallen, because heat rises and fire tends to travel upwards, given the very high location of the impact area. And then of course many buildings have suffered serious building fires without being brought down like the WTC.

Today I am a private small business owner of an Energy Services company. Formerly, I worked for 28 years for Eastman Kodak as a building design engineer, construction manager, construction division department head, and Corporate Real Estate Director. I am a mechanical engineer by education. Part of my training was in statics and dynamics. I participated in the design and construction of a 26 story high rise building. Additionally, I was licensed and taught Kodak management executives a proprietary process for problem analysis and decision making. As such, I am a logical thinker that reacts to data rather than emotion.
Because of my experience with the design of a box frame high rise tower, I have always (from day one) been troubled by the official explanation for the 9/11 building collapses. Based on what I know from my experience, these buildings could not collapse in the pattern that they did from the heat of a plane crash. Simply stated, it is not physically possible. I have kept my thoughts mostly to my self. But when my grandsons questioned the truth, I decided to look into the available data to help them form their own conclusions. I do not yet know - just as anyone else - exactly what was the cause. But I do know that the cause is not as supported by our government.

I'm excited to navigate more through this site and all of the evidence. It does seem to me after seeing more of the evidence, it could not be possible that planes took down the towers. Especially building 7, and I would very much like to know the truth of how something like this happened.

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. I went on to design pipelines, facility stations and compressor units and then worked with hydraulic flow analysis software for gas and liquids. I have been working in the oil and gas industry for over seven years now.
One does not need to be an engineer to see the twin towers and building 7 could not fall at free-fall speed without extra energy. The media kept saying steel does not need to melt (2750F) in order to be weaken to fall. The max temp of jet fuel of ~1350F, (fire was black, so ~300-600F, most of the fuel burned outside). At ~1600F, steel holds 50% of it's strength. And, I have read that skyscrapers are designed 10 times stronger than physically required. So, impossible even if you grant the highest jet fuel temperature. It is evident to the most simple-minded person that studies it for any length of time that it was completed by the government. Rumsfield stated on 9/10 that they 'lost' track of $2.3 trillion dollars. And, the Pentagon was hit in the very department that held on the staff and computers for audits. Now come on.

The collapse, at the speed of a free-falling object, of 3 of the buildings the WTC complex was obviously not caused by the crashes of two airliners into the towers. Engineers trained on general aviation aircraft would not have been able to pilot the B767's with such an accuracy into the towers. Military-grade skills/training would have been required! In addition to all this, the WTC main towers had been designed to withstand the impact at full speed/paylload of B707. The various video recordings of the collapse of the three towers are the evidence of a controlled demolition.

Having watched a number of films on how buildings are brought down on their own footprints as a kid, my immediate reaction to seeing the towers fall was controlled demolition. Another question that came to mind, being a former Navy pilot and knowing SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for hijacked aircraft, was where were the interceptors? That is a question that has never been adequately explained, to my knowledge.
